Nicollet Island Park is located off Main Street Se and Hennepin Ave. It includes the nicollet island pavilion built in 1893, and recently restored, where you can see events in the summer, or just hang out and look at the beautiful Mississippi river and the Minneapolis skyline. The upper end of the park has a residential district with 43 historic homes dating from the 1860s to the 1890s.

Amenities at the park:

  • Amphitheater
  • biking path
  • drinking fountain
  • Food – pop machines and concession
  • gardens
  • Parking Lot
  • Picnic Area
  • Public Art including statues
  • walking paths through out the island

The park is a great place for a date, a stroll around a scenic area, picnics, gatherings, and anything else you would want to do in this beautiful refuge in the heart of Minneapolis.
